Consensus (Iǧmāʿ) of all Muslims on the Kufr of Ḥadīth Rejectors

Ibn Ḥazm (gest. 456 هـ) transmitted the Ijmā’ on the Kufr of Ḥadīth rejectors:

فلا بد من الرجوع إلى الحديث ضرورة ولو أن امرأ قال لا نأخذ إلا ما وجدنا في القرآن لكان كافرا بإجماع الأمة

It is inevitable; the recourse to the Ḥadīth is a necessity. And if a man said, “We do not take except what we found in the Qur’ān”, he would be a Kāfir with the consensus (iǧmāʿ) of the Ummah.
